Your family photos, in your own storage
Transsite organises photos and videos in your Dropbox or Google Drive. Browse by date, make albums, add names and captions, and invite family members to a private library.
Getting started
- Sign in with an available Google or Apple account.
- Connect your own Dropbox or Google Drive in Connected storage. You need enough free space with that provider.
- Add photos, then invite family members as editors or viewers. Check a few originals before relying on a new backup.
Before you start
- Storage is supplied by your provider. Its storage charges and limits still apply.
- Dropbox uploads support files up to 100 MiB. Google Drive supports up to 10 GiB per file. Moving an original between providers supports up to 100 MiB.
- The iPhone app requires iOS 26 or later. App availability depends on its current distribution programme; contact support for access.
- Automatic phone backup processes one asset at a time, with up to 2 GiB of staged files and a 512 MiB free-space reserve. Larger assets need manual upload. Background work runs when iOS allows it; open the app to check completion.
- A library is capped at 100,000 photo records including retained deletion markers. The service also has an overall capacity limit. Contact support if you reach a limit.
- Keep another copy of irreplaceable originals. A successful upload is verified, but Transsite cannot prevent changes you make directly in your storage account.
Privacy and control
Your library is private to you and the people you invite. Selected photos can also be shared with a password-protected link. Viewer access can be removed. The service is not end-to-end encrypted; files pass through our servers when viewed. Optional analysis runs on your device.
Deleting your Transsite account stops library access and starts cleanup and storage-access revocation. Originals in your own Dropbox or Google Drive remain yours. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
